1. Nationality :
The candidate must be an Indian National.
2. Age Criteria :
No age limit for admission to the Engineering degree courses.
Domicile and Type of Candidature :
To be considered under the Maharashtra State Candidature, the candidate must fall under any of the following Types A to E:
- Type A Born in Maharashtra and passed 10th & 12th (or equivalent) exam from Maharashtra.
- Type B Father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra.
- Type C Father or mother is an employee of the Government of India and is posted in Maharashtra.
- Type D Father or mother is an employee of Maharashtra Government or undertaking.
- Type E Passed 10th & 12th from a Maharashtra-Karnataka border area, and whose mother tongue is Marathi (eligible for seats under Hindi linguistic minority quota, if applicable).
4. Academic Qualification :
For Maharashtra State Candidates & All India Candidates:
- Passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies
- Obtained at least 45% marks (40% for Backward Class categories and PwD candidates from Maharashtra) in above subjects taken together.
- Must belong to the particular Minority Community (like Muslim, Jain, Christian, etc.).
- Must submit the relevant Minority Affidavit and School Leaving Certificate showing the religious/linguistic identity.
- Must appear for MHT-CET.
- Eligibility same as above.
- Selection can be based on MHT-CET / JEE Main or institutional level admission process.
5. Entrance Examination Requirement :
Candidate must have appeared for one of the following:
Maharashtra State Candidates :
Must have appeared for MHT-CET 2025 and obtained a non-zero score.
All India Candidates / JEE Category :
Must have appeared for JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 and obtained a non-zero score.
Note: JEE scores are considered primarily for All India Quota, Minority Institutes, and Management Quota.

Caste certificate, caste validity (for SC/ST), and non-creamy layer certificate (for OBC/VJNT/SBC/EWS) are mandatory for availing reservation.
8. Institute Level Seats / Management Quota (Private Unaided Colleges) :
First Year Diploma Eligibity :
A candidate seeking admission to the first year of a three-year diploma course in Engineering and Technology in Maharashtra must be an Indian national and should have passed the 10th standard (SSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 35% aggregate marks. There is no entrance exam; admissions are given through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) based on SSC marks. Candidates must belong to one of the Maharashtra State candidature types (A to E), based on domicile, education, or parents’ employment in Maharashtra. Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, SBC, EWS) must submit valid caste and non-creamy layer certificates to avail of reservation benefits. Minority students (linguistic or religious) must submit a minority certificate or school record proof. There is no upper age limit, and students under the Institutional or Management Quota can apply directly to institutes.
First Year MCA eligibility :
A candidate seeking admission to the First Year of a Two-Year MCA program in Maharashtra must be an Indian national and should have passed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category and PwD candidates from Maharashtra). The candidate must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level. Admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the MAH-MCA-CET conducted by the State CET Cell. Candidates must be Maharashtra State type (A to E) based on domicile, place of education, or parents’ employment. All India candidates can also apply through MAH-MCA-CET. Reserved category candidates must provide valid caste and non-creamy layer certificates. There is no age limit. Candidates can also apply under Institutional or Management Quota, and NRI/OCI/PIO/FN/CIWGC candidates are eligible for Institutional Quota only.
